Case Study:
Case Study Background: 22 year old fitness instructor with generalized low back stiffness, and SI joint discomfort especially after workouts. Generally in good health. Has scar on chin from a fall as a child, small scars on right forearm related to mole removal and has headaches that happen at a frequency of about 1-2x/week.
Observations: mild increase in lordotic curve in low back; anterior pelvic tilt; increased tone in suboccipitals and erector spinae, wear and cracks visible on front lower teeth. Assessment: positive quadrant test bilateral (for lumbar facet irritation), active spine extension causes pinching pain in back/repro of symptoms, jaw quiver when attempts to chin tuck, inhibition of flexors (for my SM folx, inhibited in anterior to posterior perturbation at shoulders), inhibition of longus colli, SCM, TVA, RA.
