This 4 hour online course will introduce you to a simple way to provide virtual care. The purpose of this course is not to take the place of hands on care, but to allow you to have an approach to manage common musculoskeletal pain, issues with movement and postural stressors when in-person care is not possible.
We will explore a set of assessment techniques to help you prioritize where to start and what interventions to use. We will discuss ways to manage stiffness, pain and discomfort and use movement drills informed by our assessment to provide relief.
The approach will link the assessment to self-massage/treatment and movement interventions to manage common complaints such as low back pain, SI joint pain, knee pain, neck pain and headaches, and foot and ankle concerns.
While the approach is a little recipe-like, attendees will easily see how they can introduce their own knowledge, skills and niche into expanding this approach to address the concerns of many different populations.
