The human body is a beautiful synergy between sensation, movement, control and coordination.
Our ability to move well, to be free of pain, is linked to our ability to interpret what is happening in our internal and external environments. The SensoriMotor Education approach recognizes these relationships and provides continuing education courses, online & in-person, focussed on three key components - Assess, Correct, Move!

I'm Laurie Di Giulio, Movement & Manual Therapist.
I have been a practicing massage therapist since 2000, with a heavy focus on movement as an important factor in patient success and healing. I have worked, lived and/or taught in almost every province and currently live in Nova Scotia. I have spent almost all of my career in education, including as program coordinator for two massage therapy programs in Toronto, instructor at several colleges in ON and NS, presenter and key note speaker at conferences, and have developed massage therapy curriculum for an American-owned college. I moved away from teaching in a formal setting so that I could focus on my passion; helping my colleagues improve their understanding of functional anatomy. |

UPCOMING IN-PERSON COURSES
Learn to Treat the Jaw & Anterior Neck
In this FULL DAY course, you'll learn how to treat the anterior neck, including the hyoid muscles and muscles affecting the larynx/voice, and the muscles of the jaw externally & internally. Learn how the hyoid muscles and jaw relate to the intrinsic core, and how to link these muscles, their movements to inhibition of local joints/soft tissues, as well as those at a distance. What does this mean? A click in the right side of the jaw may be linked to limited rotation of the right hip. How? Take this course and you'll find out. Treating jaw pain locally may not have the lasting affects you are looking for, and learning how to link the jaw and hyoid bone to structures at a distance can be the key to unlocking better success in your treatments. Register BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2023 $300 CAN ($400 after) |
